About Grand Boulevard
Established intelligence applied to future opportunity.
Grand Boulevard helps businesses build useful capability with modern AI—deliberately, responsibly, and around the people who make the organization work.
Mission
Put AI to work where it will actually move the business forward.
We help small and midsized businesses strengthen decisions, expand capacity, and return time that repetitive work takes from people who could be doing something more valuable with it.
Vision
Durable, well-run businesses with better tools.
We see a future where AI becomes ordinary business infrastructure—installed deliberately, maintained responsibly, and built to serve the people who run the organization rather than replace them.

Founder & principal consultant
Business strategy meets technology.
John’s work lives where business strategy meets technology: data, AI, communication, and the practical job of making systems actually work for people.
He came to this through an unusual mix of experience. He spent years in enterprise account management at Epsilon Data Management and Acxiom, did internal communications work supporting General Motors and Ford, taught at the university level, and built an independent consulting practice. Before and alongside all of that, he served 13 years with the U.S. Air Force as an enlisted aviator, earning an Air Medal.
He holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the Mike Ilitch School of Business and a master’s in Communication from the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts at Wayne State University, and a bachelor’s in Communication from Oakland University.
From enterprise data to applied AI
The years at Epsilon and Acxiom matter most to his AI work. Both companies sit at the center of the data and marketing-technology world—the infrastructure behind personalization, customer intelligence, and predictive decision-making.
John’s job was to sit between major enterprise clients and the technical teams serving them, making sure complicated data products turned into real business results. He learned how large organizations really use data: how a business need gets translated into technical requirements, how systems get woven into daily workflows, and how every technical capability eventually has to prove its commercial value.
That turned out to be good preparation for AI. Enterprise AI is not a standalone tool. It depends on data, identity, analytics, workflows, governance, and clear business goals, and John had been working inside that environment long before AI became the headline.
What sets him apart
He can follow a problem all the way through—from the business question to the data, the infrastructure, the AI, and the finished workflow.
John can explain the work to executives, reason through it with engineers, and use modern AI tools to build more than he could alone. That is what lets him help organizations stop experimenting with AI and start using it to solve real problems.

Why Grand Boulevard
A Detroit idea about preparing for growth.
Detroit began building Grand Boulevard in 1891, when the road traced the edge of a city planning for a future it had not yet grown into. Within a generation, that edge had become a center of commerce, healthcare, industry, and culture.
Our name borrows the discipline, not the nostalgia: lay the groundwork deliberately, ahead of the need. Build for what comes next—not only for what is already here.
Grand Boulevard AI Consulting is minority-owned and veteran-owned. This is a description of ownership, not a claim of certification by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the National Minority Supplier Development Council, or any other certifying body.
